Starting off the academic year on a good note, the AAUP chapter was excited to be part of the New Faculty Orientation Fair this year. We were able to meet a number of new members and are looking forward to engaging with the larger faculty population this year.
About the Chapter
The RIT AAUP Chapter was formed over 20 years ago and has been through multiple lapses and revivals.
The current revival is because RIT has experienced a wave of faculty empowerment in recent years, through the shift to a Faculty Senate model, to better relationships [partnerships?] with our administrative leaders.
Our goal is to ensure that this chapter becomes an integral part of the fabric of RIT culture, thus ensuring a consistent channel for faculty-admin partnerships for years to come.
